Our mission

Our mission is to develop and provide valuable treatments and services to rare disease patients.

With valuable treatments we mean unique products that meet high unmet medical needs. Uniqueness means truly differentiated products, which changes patient’s lives as no or poor treatments previously exist. Our in-house developed products are based on our recombinant biotechnology core competencies, i.e. proteins, enzymes, antibodies or fragments thereof. Our business model is not only based on providing the physical pharmaceutical products, but to provide this in combination with other valuable components. While these components will be services we do not charge for, they are likely to expand the value proposition and hence add differentiation and uniqueness. Examples of such components are:

  • Provide knowledge based on core internal expertise and our clinical, commercial and academic activities and networks to patients, their families, health care providers and payers. This can be if the format of information material on how to live a better life despite having a severe and rare disease, as well as how and where to best treat the disease and minimize long term debilitating consequences of the disease.
  • Be ready to respond fast to requests for support (product supply, information etc) even if it is just about one patient in a country.
  • Interact visibly and actively with national and regional patient associations.

This holistic approach, putting the patient in the centre makes us unique, which add to the building of a high and respected reputation. Furthermore, we strive to become a preferred employer and to have highly motivated and educated people in our organization implementing and executing this mission with passion, every day.

We continuously evaluate and challenge our development activities, including business development opportunities, to make sure we deliver on our mission. We also continuously evaluate and measure people performance, we keep an open, inspiring and internal dialogue and communication in order to make sure our employees feel motivated and passionate about delivering our mission.
